These ferrules are made from extremely hard rubber. Without a doubt they are the hardest I have ever used and therein lies the problem. There is absolutely no give in them whatsoever and on smooth floors you have to be very careful to avoid wet or slippery areas. They are easy to fit and remove and are ideal for use indoors but I am wary of using them on office type floors where there may be slippery surfaces. The orange colour is a novelty but I'm not really sure why you would need high-vis ferrules. I think they may suit a zimmer frame more than a walking stick or crutches.

These are brilliant as hi-vis ferrules and are brilliant on most surfaces have found that they can slip on some surfaces, in particular Tiled floors in some shops or polished floors. However they are great on all other surfaces and recommended compared to the grey rubbery ferrules, which also slip on these types of floors
