These ferrules are a perfect fit for my Black Diamond Distance Carbon FLZ poles. The tips supplied with the poles are completely unsuitable for walking on anything except soft or yielding ground as they clatter horribly and cause more vibration than is comfortable. So these 9mm ferrules absolutely do the trick, making walking with me far quieter for my companions. I can't understand why Black Diamond doesn't make a set of road-tips as default. Not sure yet how long they'll last, so am buying a couple more pairs as backup. They are lightweight and slim, so they do the job without causing any pendulum effect, given how extremely light carbon poles are. Very happy indeed.
